- To see young adults recognizing Jesus as their anchors for life!
- To understand we have a simply powerful God, whose name is above all things. Above all circumstances, relationships and hardships.
 
2. Scripture supporting Young Adult’s ministry:
 
To see young adults recognizing Jesus as their anchors for life – even if:
 
John 17:17; Mark 13:31 – “Your word is truth . . . Heaven and earth will pass
away, but my words will never pass away.”
 
(Rom. 8:38-39) – “Neither death nor life . . . nor anything else in all creation, will
be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.”
 
3. Why Young Adults:
 
- No one needs to be informed, that Young Adults are more often than not the biggest drop out rate in churches.
- For the Kingdom of God to advance, we need to see smooth transition from youth, into further discipleship in our Young Adult years.
- Doncaster City Church wants to be sure to facilitate this.
 
4. Reaching Young Adults:
 
- New Powerhouse groups dedicated to teaching young adults. (18+)
- New Services aimed purely at young adults, giving a chance for us to reach you, amidst your circumstance. (18+)
- And Social events happening monthly for young adults to connect. (18+)
 
5. Leadership:
 
- There has been great support and encouragement coming in over the last two years for Young Adults. We are excited to see churches getting behind young adults, and we love seeing more joining to make a difference.

Socials
This year we have already had many successful events. Our last couple of socials at Groove-train and TGI’s had Christians and non Christians happily discussing missions, church theology and life as a Christian!
 
Powerhouse
The young adult powerhouses are also coming back with good reports. Many have moved to meeting fortnightly, with an increase in attendance. This has been great, seeing members asking and seeking answers.
 
Services
Our last service, with Phil Linden, was a very challenging one. He prompted us to find our identity in Christ and not the circumstances the world throws at us. The simplest but most profound truth, we are children of God!

December – BBQ & End of Year Message
Sunday December 4th, 3-5pm don’t miss a great night to end the year. Matthew Law will be sharing an important message for the young adults in our church about what’s to come in the new year, as well as a BBQ afterwards for an early dinner.
