I am a new Christian
What a wonderful decision to invite Jesus into your life!
You might be thinking what now? Just like getting to know a person, one of the greatest ways to grow as a Christian is to get to know Jesus. Below are just a few ways that you can get to know God better. You can also click on GOD’S PROMISES which tell you more about who God says you are.
PRAYER
Just as good friends talk to each other, so God, your heavenly Father, wants you to talk to him. And, while you may not understand it right now, you’ll find that he talks to you as well. You can pray to God about anything and everything. He wants to hear from you .
Philippians 4:6 ‘Don’t worry about anything, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”
THE BIBLE
You can read God’s Word- the Bible; when you buy a new gadget, you usually get an instruction manual. When you become a Christian you need God’s instruction manual, the Bible. In fact, the communication you hear from God will often come as you read his Word.
2 Timothy 3:16 ‘All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true…and teaches us to do what is right.’
CHURCH
One of the great benefits of becoming a Christian is being apart of the church. We would love you to get to know other people at Doncaster City Church. There are many people and ministries that can assist you to get connected, and help you grow in your relationship with God.
Hebrews 10:25 ‘And let us not neglect our meeting together…but instead encourage one another’
Doncaster City Church has a gift pack that we would love to give you if you have not yet received one. This pack contains a few things that will help you grow in your relationship with God, and help you further understand this significant decision you have made.
